Windows doesn’t wake up from sleep mode

  • First of all, try to have updated device drivers.
  • Use Windows Power Troubleshooter’s ability to resolve the issue.
  • It will be great for you if you can start Windows in Clean Boot State. Now check if the problem is continued or has disappeared. Also check if there is any program or process getting interfered with resumption from Sleep and identify the process.
  • Also check the Allow this device to wake the computer setting.
  • Unlock an elevated command prompt window with the following command: powercfg –devicequery wake_armed. Then, hit the Enter key. It will help you know which devices are presently configured to wake the computer from any sleep state. Then run: powercfg –lastwake to have information on the event that woke the computer from the last sleep transition.
  • If Hybrid Sleep is enabled, just disable it by opening Control Panel\ All Control Panel Items\ Power Options\ Edit Plan Settings. After this, click on Change advanced power settings. Change the setting to off.
